Mixed media canvas

Tässä taulussa yhdistelin taidekurssilla opittuja taitoja ja Mixed Media tekniikoita. Pohjalla on vanhoja kirjan sivuja, washiteippiä, leimailua ja tekstuuripastaa. Päälle maalasin akryylimaaleilla punk-henkisen voimanaisen.

On this canvas I combined my new skills from painting course to mixed media techniques. Base layer has book pages, washi tape, gel medium, stamping with archival ink and texture paste through stencil. And to that background I painted this punk rock power lady with acrylic paints...

Innostuin leikkaamaan gel press printeistä ympyröitä Fiskarsin Shape cutterilla. Lempiväriteemalla tuli tämä yksinkertainen arttisivu.

I got exited with my Fiskars Shape Cutter and cutted circles from gel press prints. And of course, in my favorite colors! So here is a quick and simple art journal page.

Taustatöitä / Making some backgrounds

Pitkästä aikaa ATC-pajalla taas tapahtuu! Puuhastelin yhtenä päivänä sabluunahommia ja käytin vanhan Priman Modeling paste purkin loppuun kaikenlaisille kartongin jämille. Nämä kortit on tehty pakkauskartongille eli kierrätyshengessä lähdin liikkeelle. Sapluunakuvion päälle valkoista gessoa ja vesivärejä sekä Distress glazea. Perhoset on Lidlin valikoimista, tuunattu vain sateenkaaripastalla ja tekstit Timpan vihkosesta.

I got a inspiration to use my leftovers from old Prima Modeling paste can. I stenciled the paste to a recycled cardstock. I covered the base with white gesso and added some watercolors and sealed the surface with Distress Glaze. Butterflies are from Lidl and i added some rainbow paste to them. Words are from Tim Holtz collection.
